Writing the Things We Turn Away From
Callie Rae O’Reilly and Stamatina Daniilidis will be joined in conversation about what women have been told historically not to talk about. When they met, they bonded over that common thread of their writing and the courage it took to put pen to paper about the things we turn away from.
Callie Rae is the author of “Let Me Down: Reflections on Abuse and Love”, covering themes of abuse, consent and reclaiming. Stamatina is the author of “SPLIT ENDS: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as a Mirror to Wholeness”, covering themes of neurosis, the shadow self and wholeness. Through their memoirs, they are joined in solidarity on their paths of self-acceptance and restoration from the fragments of trauma.
